True Love Waits
True Love Waits is an international campaign that challenges teenagers and college students to remain sexually abstinent until they enter a biblically sound marriage relationship. To this present time, 3 million young people have signed a covenant card signifying their commitment. Students sign their name to a commitment card that states:
BELIEVING THAT TRUE LOVE WAITS, I MAKE A COMMITMENT TO GOD, MYSELF, MY FAMILY, MY FRIENDS, MY FUTURE MATE, AND MY FUTURE CHILDREN TO A LIFETIME OF PURITY INCLUDING SEXUAL ABSTINENCE FROM THIS DAY UNTIL THE DAY I ENTER A BIBLICAL MARRIAGE RELATIONSHIP.
This year, youth will again examine the Bible to discover or reaffirm God’s perfect plan for them. On Wednesdays, during Crosstraining (6:30-7:30 p.m.) on February 4th & 11th, youth will discuss and receive information about relationships, dating, marriage, sexual purity and forgiveness.
On Sunday, February 15th, a youth will share a personal testimony in the 6:00 p.m. worship service, followed by a Parent and Youth Fellowship and Commitment time in the Fellowship Hall (7:00-8:00 p.m.). Parents and youth please plan to participate in this special time as you make a covenant together with God. Parents, you will want to present him/her with a special piece of jewelry, pin, charm or letter as an encouragement and reminder of this vital commitment. Youth and leaders are invited to enjoy fellowship and the game on this special Sunday. Each person is asked to bring a 2 liter drink and snack food to share. Also, invite a friend to come with you.

It’s time now to make plans and reservations to participate in the Tennessee Youth Evangelism Conference! It’s going to be great! Discounted cost is $40. A $20 deposit is due by February 11. After that the price is $50. Cost covers admission, hotel, breakfast and pizza on Friday for supper.
